Step into the best version of you

Another wave of the virus is upon us. I spoke with my sister the other night and she was expressing her concern about how this new variant and rise in covid cases might affect her kids going back to school in a few weeks. After I ended my call with her I heard something on the radio about bringing back the mask mandate in Denver. And when I awoke this morning a debate played out on the news about people who are vaccinated and those who are not. There doesn’t seem to be a great deal of consensus. I’ve even heard some people talking about being vaccinated vs. unvaccinated as a Democrat/Republican issue. Are Republican’s anti-vaxxers? I believe this to be a human issue not a political issue. It is the humans that are politicizing it. Let us all put down our pointed fingers and take a look inside.
I believe this to be an opportunity for growth. The pandemic has pushed us all out of our comfort zones. One of my favorite sayings is, “the comfort zone is a beautiful place, but nothing ever grows there”. Just as our world reopens a certain level of comfort has set in and BAM... we are hit with another rise in covid cases. We are meant to be at our edge, vigilant, and alert. In that place we grow, we transform. We must keep reaching, seeking, being curious and willing to expand. We are creating a new reality. This is not the time to get comfortable! This is the time to do the hard work; keep planting the seeds, water and tend to our gardens/ourselves. Don’t settle for normal. Sonis Renee Taylor says it best,
“We will not go back to normal. Normal never was. Our pre-corona existence was not normal other than we normalized greed, inequity, exhaustion, depletion, extraction, disconnection, confusion, rage, hoarding, hate and lack. We should not long to return, my friends. We are being given the opportunity to stitch a new garment. One that fits all of humanity and nature.”
Months before the pandemic I got very sick. Five days of fever, having no energy to eat or get out of bed. The 2 weeks that followed I moved in slow motion, my brain was foggy and I had little to no energy. In those 3 weeks my cells felt like they got a complete overhaul. I felt like I went from Rebecca version 3.0 to version 5.0. And then weeks later the pandemic hit and I knew we were all poised to get an upgrade. In some spiritual circles they talk about living in 3D vs. 5D. From my perspective 3D is the life lived with the awareness of being human and 5D is living life aware that you are a spirit having a human experience. From the perspective of 5D our senses are heightened, we become aware there is more to life, the world can be seen in technicolor, eyes wide open, living from our hearts vs our heads.
Don’t let spiritual amnesia become your default. Spiritual wisdom is alive and well in your cells. The collective is awakening to these fundamental truths in our bodies. Within our cells lives a timeless wisdom. This virus is meant to help us grow and evolve past “the normal” we have accepted as truth. There is so much more that lies beneath the surface. May we all be heard, seen and understood. May we listen to others' truths, rather than needing to be right. May we replace judgement with curiosity. Rather than blaming, may we seek to understand. Rather than resisting may we accept and receive the blessings that the moment holds. Replace good/bad, right/wrong, either/or, with both/and. Make space for possibility rather than walls that keep you separated. Choose to step into the best version of you, version 5.0.
